Dr Samadi: A Pioneer In Robotics

By Phyllis Schroeder

Cancer seems to be striking so many individuals in this day and time, especially with prostate cancer. Dr Samadi, a well-known oncologist originally from Iran, makes it his mission to fight this evil disease through his own unique and effective methods. He is most well known for his use of robotics during his many operations on patients in varying stages of this illness.

Men in their middle and later years are most at risk for this type of cancer. The many symptoms can include frequency of urination, painful urination, and a diminished sexual capacity. With new treatments and advanced research, new and better treatments are available every day to battle this cancer.

This doctor immigrated from Iran and Asia at an extremely young age. He was actually born a Jew in Iran and had to flee the country with a brother after an invasion. He left his parents and little sister behind. Both he and his brother went to school in England and Belgium before finally moving to America. There, they finished high school and both boys continued on with their educations to become highly regarded physicians.

Young Samadi went to a variety of schools and attended training in several hospitals to achieve his goals. Some of these included Montefiore Medical Center, Stony Brook University, and the well-known medical institution of Albert Einstein College. His industrious sibling worked hard at his education as well and become a highly regarded ear, nose, and throat specialist.

Through the years, he helped more than 6,000 patients with prostate cancer through his surgeries and progressive new methods. The one procedure that he is most acclaimed for is the Samadi Modified Robotic Treatment (SMART) where he uses the advanced technology of robotics to perform a very noninvasive form of surgery on his patients. This type of surgery has become extremely popular as patients experience little pain, have very little blood loss, a shorter recovery time, and little if any scarring. Several celebrities have taken advantage of his new methodology. His success rate is extremely high. About 90% of his patients return to their former lifestyles symptom and cancer free.

This committed doctor is now working as an oncologist at the famous Lenox Hill Hospital. There he is also the Chief over the Robotic Surgery Department and the Chairman of the Urology Department. He also works part-time as both a radio commentator for a medical segment of a well known radio station in New York and correspondent for FOX news medical department.

This doctor does so much already, but he even has his own blog where he answers questions from the general public. He posts articles on current health issues, not just on prostate cancer, and new trends in the health care industry.

His story is so inspiring. He worked hard to get where he is and is now helping people with so many health issues. His drive and intelligence are a gift to mankind and he continues to maintain his life work with a passion and determination that is changing lives everywhere.
