Breast Reduction As A Medical Procedure

By Janine Hughes

This process was invented as a solution to those females with very large breasts which is a major discomfort to them. The main aim is to make them appear smaller and more firm hence easier to deal with and also lighter. Below are details to do with the procedure of breast reduction.

This procedure is done in the hospital and it is a surgical procedure. The surgeon first marks the parts to be worked on then with the help of his tools makes several cuts on this organ. This helps him remove excess tissue and fluid and after this is done he stitches it up and behold something new is created. Sometimes he even goes as far as taking the nipple out and repositioning it.

There are times when liposuction is carried out as the main procedure during this exercise. This includes the removal of excess fat and this happens in the event that loose skin or rather excess skin is not the problem. Special instruments are used to suck out this fat and it results in smaller sized mammary glands.

In some events, these organs may appear to be large and sagging. In this scenario, ladies are given a breast lift. This makes them be firm and steady; it also helps to lift the nipple and areola. Each and every woman would like to have their breasts firm and this dream has been made come true by this medical procedure.

After this work is done, one may experience some little bit of pain which should not be a cause of alarm. This is because within no time, it will be all good and in at most three weeks they will be up and kicking and back to carrying out the day to day activities. A surgical bra may be given to help in the healing process and this one is supposed to be worn throughout.

One of the upside of this process is that scars may be evident after the process. The good thing is that they are able to be covered by a normal bra or swimsuit hence not easily visible. They may fade away by themselves overtime but the patient is not supposed to expect them to disappear for good as at most times this is not usually the case.

This process is done mainly so that the women can be able to feel comfortable in their own bodies. Large heavy breasts are usually a huge discomfort and may even cause back pain. They are also a limitation to some to the sporting activities as women with very large ones find it very hard to take part in some of the games.

In summary, there are many women who have had this done to them. Although it is quite costly, it is also worthwhile at the end of the day. A part from the mini scars which may result from the process, at times after the process the end result is that the two breasts appear not to be of the same size. All the same, this can be rectified through undergoing another surgical.
