What One Can Learn From West Chester Swimming Lessons

By Jocelyn Davidson

Swimming is one of the most important things for anyone to learn because no one will ever know when he will have to survive in water. Basically, west chester swimming lessons are broken into three levels namely in the beginner level, the advanced level, and the competitive level. Just to know what they are all about, here are some bits of information.

Now in a nutshell, an entire swimming lesson is to be split into the first, second, and third level. The first level is the level of beginners and it is where one is taught how to float. Now floating is the most important concept in this sport because it is the only way one will learn how to maneuver his body in the water.

After he learns how to float, he will then be learning the kick which is what he will use to move in the water. To do this, he will just be kicking the water with his feet moving alternately. Once he perfects this move, he will then accompany it with hand movements to do the freestyle.

After he has learned that, he can actually go on to more advanced moves such as the dog crawl and the frog kick. These moves are really good for water survival because they are moves wherein one will have his head out of the water. This way, he will be able to breathe.

Once he has learned all of those moves, he can now go on to the advanced levels. The easiest move to learn in the advanced level is the backstroke which is quite like the freestyle but one will now be lying on his back instead of his front. This move is a very relaxing one since he is lying on his back. This means that when he gets tired, he can do this stroke and relax for a bit.

Of course after he has already learned that, then he would then be learning the breast stroke. Now this breast stroke is rather an easy stroke wherein he would be using some hand movements while a little bit of upper body movements that will allow him to bring his head up. While he does this, he should be doing frog kicks.

The last move that he would be learning is the butterfly stroke. This is arguably the hardest move to do because it requires strong upper body movement as he will be pushing his body up and spreading his arms. At the same time, he will be doing a dolphin kick which is a kick where both his feet will hit the pool at the same time.

Once he has learned all of those moves, he is now ready to go to the competitive level. Now he will not be learning any new moves while in this level but he will be refining what he already knows and he would also be improving his stamina by swimming laps back and forth in the pool. When he has finished this level, then he would definitely not need to be afraid of trying to survive in the water anymore.
