Most of us know how easy it can be to get motivated to exercise and get in shape ... also knows how quickly motivation may disappear. No matter how good an exercise program you have, or how cool their new training shoes are or how cute you think your personal trainer is , the truth is that after the first few weeks , it may be difficult to stay motivated to train.
For most people find it very easy to stay motivated once you start seeing results. If you can stick with your exercise program for a few weeks or months until you can actually see some changes will be much more likely to continue your workouts for the long term . The hardest part is putting in the time and work the first few weeks , when you can not really see progress . This is the point where many people give up and quit .
Here are some tactics you can use that can help you overcome "hump" this year. Remember, if you can just stick to your workouts long enough to see the progress will be much less likely to quit.
1 . One of the biggest mistakes that many people make is that they start a workout routine for the wrong reasons , or unrealistic expectations. For example, if you have a class reunion coming up in three weeks, you should not expect to lose 30 pounds by then. It is unlikely that you will reach your goal and when it does , it is very likely that you get discouraged and give up.
Instead of setting a more realistic goal . Instead of 30 pounds in three weeks about 30 pounds in 3 months. You will not be the weight you want to be on time for your class reunion, would not have been able to do anyway , but you will have a realistic long-term goal and will not be as likely to not the target and give up.
2 . Try to find someone who can train with . Having someone to exercise a good way to stay motivated. You can help each other and encourage each other to stick to your exercise routine. When you know your training partner is based on the experience will be much less likely to leave . This little peer pressure can help both achieve their goals .
3 . Instead of focusing solely on all the weight you need to lose , break your progress into smaller segments. If you need to lose 50 pounds does not focus on that number, because it can be overwhelming. Instead of dividing your overall goal into smaller goals , most available in all areas . So instead of thinking about wanting to lose 50 pounds, just plan to lose 10 pounds . in 30 days . In this way, you will have a large number of small successes along the way that should help you stay motivated.
Do not make the difficult art of what it should be . Find a great exercise program and use these tips to help you stay motivated and keep going. Once you start seeing results should be much easier for you to stay motivated on your own!
